United States of America Time Zone Information for Moon Tracks' Resource Pages
This page is devoted to the complexities of the United States and its six time zones plus daylight saving time differences. Russia is the only other country that we are aware of, with more time zones to coordinate.
In the first section, the states are listed alphabetically within their respective Time Zones, starting with the East and working West by Time Zone. You would utilize these time zone numbers to adjust for your time, from UTC or GMT, on the various resource pages that can be adjusted by time. In the Americas, the time is ALWAYS subtracted and the minus symbol needs to be clicked for the "western" hemisphere.
In the bottom section, the states are listed alphabetically with a list of the time zones that each state uses.
As you scroll through all the information, you may begin to comprehend why we don't even try to list all the areas for their time zone differences by city, state, and country, and then to try to throw in the daylight saving times that are "exceptions" to the already confusing rules. If you can't remember your time zone from one month to the next, then we recommend that you take a moment to write down your time zone information on a post-it note and keep it nearby.
The Pages that this information will work best on are: Adjustable Full Moon Dates & Information * Adjustable New Moon Calendar Dates * Solar and Lunar Eclipse Dates * Void of Course Dates of the Moon
